Corporate website

The website of a company with 150 or 300 staff has more kinds of reader than most people assume. A foreign buyer checks certifications and capacity, a candidate looks for openings and a feel for the workplace, a supplier wants to know where to send invoices, and a journalist needs photos and a statement. Consider an automotive supplier in Novo mesto: its English and German pages matter to customers as much as the Slovenian ones, while HR is hiring welders and process engineers every month. When all these visitors share one menu and the same pages, each of them gets slightly lost. So we build a corporate site around the journeys of each group and around the people who will keep the content current.

Scope of the service

A corporate website is not just a larger brochure site. More people edit it, more people read it and more can go wrong unless the rules are written down.

Information architecture by audience

Clear routes lead from the home page: products and solutions for customers, careers for candidates, purchasing and invoicing for suppliers, a newsroom for the media. The menu follows how people search, not the org chart.

Careers and applications

Job ads that HR publishes on its own, an application form with CV upload, a stated retention period for applications and a privacy notice for candidates. Applications no longer sit forgotten in a shared inbox.

Newsroom

Press releases, logos, photos of management and production for download, and a media contact at your company's pr@ address. Journalists get what they need without emailing and waiting.

Many languages, many editors

Each language has its own owner and its own URLs. If the German version falls behind, it shows up in an editorial overview rather than when a customer points out the mistake.

Data protection

Privacy notices for customers, candidates and visitors, cookie management in line with ZEKom-2 and a form through which individuals can exercise their GDPR rights. Your lawyer or data protection officer approves the legal content.

Accessibility

Contrast, font size, keyboard navigation, image descriptions and proper headings. We aim for WCAG 2.1 AA, which makes reading easier for every visitor and prepares the company for what European accessibility rules are bringing.

Links to internal systems

Candidate applications into the HR system, customer enquiries into the CRM, news posted automatically to LinkedIn. We connect only what someone in the company will actually maintain.

How the work runs

On a corporate site the content usually comes from several departments, so the plan also covers who supplies copy when and who approves it.

01

Workshops with departments

Over video calls we talk separately to sales, HR, purchasing and management. Each department tells us what it is asked most often and what it wants to publish.

02

Sitemap and prototype

We prepare a sitemap and a clickable prototype of the key pages, then test it with a few colleagues who know the site least.

03

Build and content entry

The site is developed at a staging address. Departments add content as we go; we look after templates, integrations and language versions.

04

Launch and editorial rules

Go-live with redirects, editor training per department and short editorial rules: who publishes, who approves and how often each page is reviewed.

A corporate site most often goes stale in its second language. The Slovenian version gets news and new products while the English and German ones stay as they were at launch. A foreign buyer then sees discontinued products and job ads from two years ago. We therefore give each language a named owner and add a view in the editor listing pages that have not been updated in that language.

Your questions answered

Your own people, each their own section: HR the job ads, marketing the news, sales the products. Access is organised through roles so nobody changes settings by accident, and technical upkeep can be agreed with us separately.

Your company sets the retention period with its lawyer and we implement it: once it expires, applications are deleted or anonymised automatically, and candidates can opt in to longer storage for future openings.

We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and test before launch with automated tools and by hand, using a keyboard and a screen reader. Whether specific legal duties apply to your company, for example under the European Accessibility Act, is for your legal adviser to judge.

Yes, though we suggest a review. For each page we agree with the department whether to carry it over, rewrite it or retire it. Old URLs get redirects so search traffic is not lost.
