What remote IT support costs

Behind every subscription sit three ingredients: reserved engineering capacity, clearly documented boundaries, and a reaction time backed by contract. You will never see mileage, hotel nights or a “call-out fee”, since our engineers stay at their desks and connect in. Business prices are in euros and exclude Slovenian VAT at 22%.

Three tiers, plus a dedicated team

Tiers vary by how fast we react, how many systems we manage and how detailed monitoring and reporting get. Where an organisation prefers named engineers and a pre-booked pool of time, we assemble a dedicated team, costed individually once the scope is known.

Unsure which tier?
Everyday IT cover

Start

Meant for small offices where IT is nobody's job. Say you run a Ljubljana bookkeeping firm of eight people. The printer jams, someone's inbox hits its quota, Minimax refuses to launch: rather than phoning a nephew who is good with PCs, you log it with us. We keep Windows and Microsoft 365 patched, sort issues through an encrypted remote connection, and nobody on your payroll has to moonlight as the sysadmin.

Business

One contract spanning the desks, the server (whether it lives in a data centre or a broom cupboard), the LAN and your backups. Imagine a Novo mesto parts maker for the car industry, about forty staff, with an in-house file server and Pantheon for the books: this is the plan drawn up for that sort of setup. Should a cable need reseating, our engineer guides a colleague of yours over video, step by step.

Premium

When a single hour offline would cost you more than four weeks of support fees, this is the tier. Picture a Celje online shop for baby products heading into the Christmas rush, a Maribor dentist booked solid, or a distribution warehouse near Koper dispatching hundreds of boxes daily. Premium brings a standing crew, a quarter-hour reply window and a twelve-month technology plan.

Built around the brief

Dedicated team

A group of sysadmins, security people and developers assigned solely to your work, who come to understand your environment in depth. Headcount and skill mix depend on the task at hand: replacing Birokrat with SAP Business One, hooking the web shop up to your chosen e-invoice exchange, or lifting on-premises machines to a cloud provider. From kick-off to sign-off, it all happens remotely.

What drives the figure

Your revenue tells us nothing; the effort your IT demands tells us everything. We ask the following six things first.

People and endpoints

The base of every calculation. Each Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace user brings questions, joiners and leavers. Each laptop or phone enrolled in Intune adds patches and policies to look after.

Your servers

Priced individually. A serverless office generates far less work than a firm with Pantheon on hardware in its stockroom, Azure resources hosted in Europe and a VPS at Hetzner powering its shop. Each of those wants updates, someone answering its alerts and a backup proven by a test restore.

Hours of cover

The biggest single lever on cost. Weekday cover from 9:00 to 17:00 is one thing. Having somebody on hand between Christmas and New Year, on Easter Monday or through a night shift is quite another.

Speed

4 hours, 1 hour or 15 minutes. Those are the Start, Business and Premium commitments. Hitting fifteen minutes reliably, day in and day out, means keeping several engineers free at once, and that is reflected in the monthly charge.

Regulation you face

GDPR, NIS2 and ZInfV-1, and DORA in finance. If you must prove your safeguards to an auditor, a data protection officer or a big buyer assessing its supply chain, you will want archived logs, regular reporting and organised proof. We plan that effort only where it is needed and price it in.

Today's condition

Months one to three tell the story. Logins belonging to long-departed staff, credentials stored in Excel, machines that missed every update since summer: wherever these turn up, tidying comes before anything else. Fault numbers then fall and the subscription finds its usual rhythm.

Outside the monthly fee. Licences for Microsoft 365, antivirus or bookkeeping tools go straight to the publisher or its partner; we earn nothing on them. One-off projects like moving mail or connecting the shop to an e-invoicing exchange receive their own quote and begin only once you approve in writing. Any hands-on job is done by your staff or your usual technician, guided by our engineer on camera.

Three sketches to calibrate

These businesses are fictional yet typical, and each is matched with the tier such a profile normally needs. Your real price comes after we have looked at your systems remotely.

How the SLA works

Bookkeeping practice in Ljubljana, 8 staff

from €450 plus VAT/month

Start. Email and documents sit in Microsoft 365; the ledger software runs on a modest local server. Everything hinges on qualified certificates, eDavki and AJPES behaving perfectly on each workstation during annual report season.

Up to 10 users
Desktops, email, Teams, office printer
Weekdays, 9:00-17:00
We react in 4 hours or less
No standby line
After-hours emergencies if agreed, at €50 hourly plus VAT
Business plan

Baby goods web shop based in Celje, 30 staff

€990 plus VAT/month

Business. A crash just as the promotional mailing lands means zero orders; a frozen Ceneje.si feed means wrong availability; a broken Metakocka sync means no invoices. The contract therefore spans WooCommerce, Monri checkout, GLS labelling and the hosting server.

Every account, every device
Managed centrally in Entra ID and Intune under one policy set
Servers plus backup
Watched constantly, restores tested on the agreed schedule
One-hour reaction
€990 monthly, VAT at 22% added

Car components maker running three factories

from €1,990 plus VAT/month

Premium. With production running in three shifts, the night crew needs answers as fast as the morning one, and customer questionnaires about supplier security have to be answered with evidence.

Several plants, one baseline
The same reference configuration at each site
24/7 standby line
15-minute response 9:00-17:00, out-of-hours terms set in the contract
Compliance-aware monitoring
Logs, metrics and a written briefing for directors

Other rates. Dedicated teams, meaning named engineers, a client lead and booked capacity, are costed in a bespoke offer reflecting workload. Work outside any subscription costs €50 hourly plus VAT. Individuals pay €35 upwards per remote session and €45 per working hour, VAT included.

How the offer comes together

Four stages lie between your first message and a signed contract, and only the last one binds you.

01

Video chat

Twenty minutes on Teams or Meet covering three points: team size, the software you run and how quickly you expect a response.

02

Remote assessment

With temporary credentials from you, we examine the Microsoft 365 tenant, servers, backup jobs and rights. The write-up keeps its value even if another provider wins the work.

03

Itemised offer

Split three ways with nothing hidden in footnotes: covered by the subscription, charged hourly, or worth a separate fixed-price job.

04

Contract and transition

The services contract, SLA and GDPR data processing agreement are signed. Access is handed over and we document your estate.

Frequently asked questions

Business prices are always quoted net. You get a PDF invoice by email once a month or project stage ends, payable within 30 days. Apply is registered outside the EU and so sends no eSLOG e-invoices via Slovenian platforms. Ask your accountant how VAT should be handled on services bought from a non-EU supplier. For private clients VAT is included: sessions from €35, then €45 per hour.

We bill in euros and you pay via an international SWIFT transfer in EUR to the account printed on the invoice. As the bank is outside the EU, SEPA rules do not apply; allow 1-3 working days, and your bank might charge for the transfer. Write to finance@apply.si with billing queries or read the payment page.

No. Subscriptions are defined by scope, not by number of tickets, so a flurry of calls following a major Windows update changes nothing. Permanent growth in staff or an additional server is another matter, and in that case scope and fee are reviewed jointly as the contract describes.

Duration and notice period are negotiated per client and written into the agreement, together with how a parting works: returning credentials, documents and backup copies. Nobody ends up locked in.

Certainly, and it is a common split. Your administrator might stay on user queries and sector-specific software while we run servers, backups and security, and we can stand in during holidays. The scope is drawn around whatever you are missing.

€50 hourly plus VAT or a fixed amount agreed beforehand, always subject to your written yes, which can be a one-line email. Unrequested work billed after the fact simply does not happen here.

No, and that is one reason our rates are what they are. Encrypted remote sessions are our only channel and they cure most outages. If equipment must be touched, the engineer remains on a video link with the person present, an employee or your contractor, until service is restored.
